On Thursday Vintage Vikend teamed up with Ab Fab vintage boutique, Aka Neon Vintage Jewellery and Kitsch Nitsch to host another vintage shopping event. Of course, we were running late (hello-o, have we met) and only started to set things up only about 15min before the event started....and the crowd was the biggest at the beginning of the event so the first visitors were faced with the frenzy of us still taking clothes out of the suitcases, setting up racks and trying to put clothes on the mannequin... And, well, i want to thank everyone for their patience ;)
Otherwise, the event was lovely! We always get so many uber stylish visitors and what excites me the most is when i see people walk in wearing clothes they got at one of the previous events. The only thing that we really need to improve is our 'man' department...we promise to offer a better selection of man's clothing next time!

Sometimes it's fun to wear all black and just play with textures. My old fur coat basically fell apart and that just gave me an excuse to get a new one. This time i didn't have to go as far as Berlin to buy one...i just chose one of many great ones Gvant has to offer :)

I was almost over the whole 'flapper fringe' trend but then Gucci had to go and bring the twenties back....and now i've fallen back in love! Oh, and the collar is new! It's such a great piece! It livens up just about every outfit and it is about a million times more interesting than a necklace.

V sredo smo z Neno in Tilnom razgrajali na otvoritvi Kreativne Cone Šiška, ki je eden tistih prostorov kjer se jaz počutim kot doma. S tem mislim na staro hišo, preurejeno z malo sredstvi in veliko kreativne energije in ki ji do popolnosti manjka zgolj en fikus benjamin. Uživali smo v Adini korenčkovi torti, kislem domačem vinu, se pretvarjali da smo novoletne jelke in neritmično plesali na slabo/dobro glasbo. Vmes mi je uspelo posneti nekaj fotografij in kupiti nov blokec, kolaboracijo oblikovalca Jurija in fotografinje Ade.

Since i'm apparently completely incapable of doing anything any sooner than the very last moment it's obvious that i shop for Christmas presents at the very last minute possible. And that means i spent all yesterday afternoon trapped inside the shopping mall, fighting to get the best presents with what appeared to be every person in the universe. And let me tell you...it was a complete nightmare! So when i frantically walked pass the shelves of the drugstore i was supper happy to spot the Smell a Wish display. It hit me right there: perfume really could be a perfect gift!

Malce pozno (kot je že v navadi) objavljam utrinke z Flash&Diners Večera stila in zabave. Po več mesecih trdega dela (to je nekako tudi razlog, da je moj blog malo sameval) smo obiskovalcem končno predstavili nov, večji, boljši in lepši Flash shopping vodnik, tokrat v kompletu s prvo Diners Fashion&Style kartico, iPhone in iPad aplikacijo vodnika in gala dogodkom, ki se je zgodil v steklenem prizidku Narodne galerije. Po tako napetem času priprav je bilo res super uživati v vrunski postrežbi, si ogledovati oblikovalske presežke in uživati v dobri družbi.

Pri moji dinamični službi je pač tako, da je včasih treba poprijeti tudi za kakšno lažje fizično delo. Danes sem ravno zato namesto običajnih petk obula udobne tople škornje. Če odštejem dejstvo da se bel pulover hitro umaže se je današnji outfit izkazal kot popoln za raznašanje čisto svežega Flash shopping vodnika ;)

I finally built up the courage to cut off my 'ombre'. Which means my hair is now about 20cm shorter and it will take me a while to get used to the new hairstyle. Why do we get so attached to our hair? I nearly cried when i saw it lying on the salon floor....several hours later i think i like the fact that it doesn't get tangled into my jewellery, it doesn't fall into my soup and it looks much healthier! I just might start loving the cut soon....

For some reason it's always better to see Slovenia through a foreign point of view...to us natives it usually seems so ordinary or boring. I was especially impressed by the Postojna cave... the shapes, colors and sparkles of its structures greatly inspired me. Fashion Week Slovenia

Teden mode se je zgodil, končno, tudi v Sloveniji. Philips Fashion Week je sicer trajal zgolj dva dni, se je pa v celem tednu zgodilo še toliko drugih revij da v seštevku temu lahko rečemo 'teden mode'. Ne bom izgubljala besed s slabimi stranmi Philipsa, ker sem preveč navdušena da se je dogodek po dolgem pričakovanju končno zgodil. Raje se bom osredotočila na oblačila - konec koncev so bila bistvo dogodka ;)

Never before have i been excited about any of the h&m/megadesigner collaborations. For obvious reasons - extreme crowds, cheap materalials...plus nothing really ever spoke to my aesthetics (even though i once caved in and bought a Sonia Rykiel hairclip). But this year, oh, i soooo am gonna go get me some Versace! It's everything i get excited about: vintage inspired, crazy coloured, studded and cheap(er). Personally i blame Lady Gaga and her latest obsession with 1992 Versace for the whole thing. And i am grateful for that because otherwise they would probably do yet another boring sort of minimalistic collection and collaborated with someone who needs a bit more media coverage.

The following photos remind me of times when the real supermodels ruled the catwalks, women were still allowed to have curves and be really sexy, cocain was the go-to drug, no one used cell and Kris Kross was the no.1 hit:

After this trip down the memory lane i have to say that the h&m collection is a wonderful homage to Gianni and has perfectly put a bit ob 1992 into 2011. I actually hope none of u guys like it so there will be more left for me ;)

In July i was lucky enough (thanks to my job at Flash shopping guide) to get a hold of a completely new Diorskin Forever fluid foundation (it was officially released in October). Since i don't really wear much foundation in the summer i only got to try it out now and was impressed! It is the perfect light foundation that doesn't cover all of my freckles but still hides other imperfections. Since i don't have any photos of me wearing it lets just say it makes my skin look as close to Natalie's as possible ;) ...I wish!

V četrtek se je pričel Mesec Oblikovanja in v drugi kleti Slovenijalesa smo si lahko ogledali kaj trenutno ponuja slovenska oblikovalska scena. Po mnenju večine obiskovalcev showroomi niso pokazali posebnih presežkov, vseeno pa je bilo lepo da se je vsa 'strokovna srenja' zbrala na enem mestu. Sodelovala sem v kar nekaj pogovorih na temo primernosti lokacije... vsi sogovorci, ki se tako ali drugače ukvarjajo z dizajnom so si bili enotni da je lokacija fenomenalna, industrijska, surova in čudovito primerna za izvedbo takšnega dogodka (and i copletely agree). Sogovorci iz ekonomske stroke pa so poudarili nedostopnost, zaprtost, neprijetna jim je bila tudi njena industrijska narava. Morda bi prihodnje leto dogodek res lahko izvedli na nekoliko bolj dostopni lokaciji - na katero bi lahko 'zašla' tudi splošna publika, saj je dogodek resnično deloval zelo 'elitno', kot da je namenjen zgolj stroki. Tudi splošna publika si zasluži, da jih s takimi dogodki izobrazimo o 'novostih' na področju dizajna. In morda se potem ne bomo več toliko pritoževali kako neizobražena publika smo Slovenci ko na tapeto pride tema oblikovanje.

Anywhoo, jaz sem se imela čudovito, seveda pa bomo še cel mesec lahko uživali v takšnih in drugačnih prireditvah v okviru Meseca oblikovanja!

Event week pt.1

These past couple of days have been super exciting! Wednesday was the day of Fashion.si Night Shopping event - where we collaborated with a Vintage Vikend stall. The venue was wonderfully set up with white stalls, baloons, stage and, oh, the sunny weather was a great bonus! The event lasted pretty much all day and offered a great diversity of fashion happenings and showrooms. As always, we were happy to bring a bit of vintage feel to the streets of Ljubljana!

The whole concept of the bloggers conference was set up to be this big, influential event but things kinda fizzled after no one caring about it (apart from the bloggers, obviously). The media wunderkinds Aljoša Bagola and Aljoša Krošlin Grlj were the star guests and the discussion was really interesting...but we might as well be sitting in a warm cafe! I bet the discussion would get even more heated there (literally and figuratively speaking) :)

Ker sem že odkar pomnim oboževalka vsega staro/novega, prenovljenega in olepšanega ni nič čudnega, da se mi zdi Bi-ko-fe v novi preobleki eden izmed najbolj prijetnih lokalov v Ljubljani. Danes lahko s pomočjo liticiranja na dražbi njihovega pohištva del tega občutka odnesemo tudi v svoje domove. Sama sem se zaljubila v Razzle Dazzle naslonjač, Silvester lučko, Magda in Cene bi se lepo podala v mojo kuhinjo, Voranc pa bi lahko nadomestil moj stari pisalniški stol. Same ideje dražbe ne morem prehvaliti - v enem družabno zanimivem dogodku združuje kvalitetno oblikovanje z ekološkim pristopom obnove starega v novo. Poleg tega so tudi izklicne cene povsem spodobne (če ne glede na količino vloženega truda celo nekoliko prenizke).

Never being the typical tourist the first thing i do when i travel to a new destination is check out the local vintage shops. On my recent trip to Belgrade i did the same and set out to find (the only) vintage store - Jane Doe. The two (male) friends had no better plans for that afternoon so they decided to join me on my odyssey. 'Why be so dramatic?' you may ask ... Here's why: location of the origin of the odyssey: the hostel in the very center of Belgrade. Location of the shop: about 5km down a sizzling hot boulevard. We walked through parks, rested every couple of meters, took a swim in a fountain, ate about a gallon of ice cream and finally made it to Jane Doe. And were pleasently surprised by the coolness of the store! The space is super welcoming, it has that quirky 'vintage' feel to it that makes me feel right at home, the displays are lovely and the selection of items is awesome! They even sell redesigned pieces! I tried on some really funny 80ies dresses while the guys drank Cedevita the shop assistant nicely served us with. Beznica je poleg romana izpod peresa Emila Zola lokal, po navadi se mu preprosto reče bar. V svoji najbolj pristni verziji se nahaja ob Merkatorju, odprli so ga cca leta 1967 in od takrat nikoli obnovili, kaj šele da bi kdo umil šipe. Kelnarca je verjetno hči originalne kelnerce, nosi ortopedske čevlje in nosom ji poganja puh. Stranke so zveste - v svojo beznico zahajajo že od njenege otvoritve. V beznici nujno naročiš špricer, enga kratkega ali deci rujnega. Z Evo sva bili malo 'out of place', kar pa ne pomeni da v beznico ne bova ponovno zavili ;)

Sisi retro sreda

Prejšnjo sredo sem oblekla novo oblekico in se odpravila na Retro Sredo v trgovino Sisi. Sisi - Silvija je namreč začela objavljati blog in je ostale blogerje povabila, da se v živo spoznamo. Na mojo veliko žalost s seboj nisem imela fotoaparata - blogerke so se namreč (kot ponavadi) premišljeno uredile + trgovina Sisi je za to posebno priložnost dobila 'preobleko' retro dnevne sobe. Dogodek je bil čudovit; malo smo klepetale, srkale aperol iz retro kozarcev, grizljale čudovite mafine in cupkakes, primerjale outfite...skratka, blogerke so (tudi v živo) zanimive in super! Kot sem omenila sem bila brez fotoaparata in zato objavljam 'ukradene slike' ter se hkrati zaobljubljam da NIKOLI več ne grem nikamor brez fotiča!

I am sooo lusting overe these 'raw crystal rings' i can't even put it to words. Of course i could go to h&m and get me a plastic one but i can't bare that thought...so i will quest the world to find a perfect crystal of amethyst and then i will get the ring custome made. It might take forever but i'm hoping it will be worth to wait for ;)

Oh and i do love the Maud Traon rings as well...as much as i hate (visibly) handmade jewelery these rings are crafted to such a perfection it makes me forget all about the material they're made of (probably fimo masa, yuck!).

I had a pretty interesting weekend...promise to do a post about it later, when i get some decent photos of my outfit. Maybe the most exciting thing that happened was that i got a truckload of (new) vintage pieces! What could make more happy? Nothing, i'm afraid ;) I was most glad when i found this 'Chloe' pleated skirt and the only thing wrong with it is that it's a bit too big for me. Ever the crafy one i just pinned the waistline together with a brooch and -voila- the skirt fits perfectly!

As always...i'm super late with this post. I DO apologize, but i've really had a crazy busy week. Anyways...to the Flash fashion blooger meeting i wore my 'new' vintage bright pink palazzo pants - i got them in a charity shop in Klagenfurt and only had to take them in a little to make them fit better. I thought about pairing them with an orange shirt but then i thought that would be just a little too 'Gucci' so instead i wore them witn a plain white t-shits and golden jewelery - i was going for 'Jil Sander minimalism with a twist'.

Who got the most out of the super mega important royal wedding? Philip Tracy, i believe! He produced over 100 hats/fascinators for the guests and i have to say he can show a spectacular range of designs - from completely organic to super structured pieces. Though i can't quite figure it out how some of the designs defy gravity i am fascinated by all of them. It's not the end of the busy year for Philip with another royal wedding coming up but i think he'll manage... in worst case scenario the Queen's personal assistant can come help him - apparently she's a hat designer as well ;) Also...the royals MUST soon get to know Ana Lazovski and her lovely head pieces.

Spet sem malo neažurna z objavo...pa vendar: v torek je v h&m prišla njihova Fashion Against Aids kolekcija in po tem, ko sem že vnaprej na internetu prečekirala ponudbo smo v torek vstale neprimerno zgodaj in stale pred Cityem še preden so ga odprli. Edine. Ja, nobene evforije modnih navdušencev, nobenih komolcev, nobenih zapestnic...ničesar. Kot edine stranke smo si lahko vzele dovolj časa in malo bolj natančno pregledale ponudbo...ki ni bila nadpovprečna. Plastična vrečka a-la Jil Sander je bila čudnih proporcev, kombinezoni so najbolj nepraktično oblačilo ever, usnjeni brezrokavnik je morala Tanja včeraj vrniti, ker iz njega nikakor ni mogla spraviti odurnega industrijskega vonja... Vsaka si je kupila svojo srebrno torbico, ki je definitivno najboljši kos kolekcije... škoda da mi je včeraj padla s kolesa in se malo odrgnila. Morda si bom šla kupit še eno - za 10eu se mi zdi vredno :)

Priznam, da nisem strastna bralka revije Cosmopolitan ...tako sem danes prvič po milijon letih kupila svoj lastni izvod. Priznati moram, da me je k temu gnalo malo narcisoidnosti - imam namreč čast, da so me skupaj z Ano Lazovski, Ines Dragišič in Niko Veger prišteli k slovenskim trendseterkam. Vedno mi je smešno, ko me kdo jemlje resno, saj se mi zdi, da to s čemer se ukvarjam res ni nič posebnega...morda je res prišel čas, ko naj bi začela ceniti svoje delo in interese. In mogoče začela celo redni prebirati Cosmo...we'll see ;)

Do danes nikoli nisem bila posebej pozorna na svoje parfume - nekateri so bili darila, druge sem si impulzivno kupila sama in tako nisem opazila da ima zbirka rdečo nit: roza-vijolično oz. zlato barvo stekleničk in močne, opojne vonjave. Parfumov nimam veliko....ko mi eden diši ga uporabljam dan za dnem dokler se ga ne naveličam. Očitno imam najraje dišave L'occitane in Ralph Lauren (Hot je nadomestek za dišavo Ralph, ki mi je je zmanjkalo), zbirko pa bi trenutno rada dopolnila z Escadinim Magnetismom...vendar si dopovedujem da resnično ne potrebujem še enega parfuma....

Danes lahko z največjim veseljem objavim tri kolaže iz prihajajočega pomladnega Flash shopping vodnika. Malo za 'lušte delat' do četrtka, ko bo /končno/ izšel. Lahko vam zaupam tudi to, da bodo v mesecu maju Flash shopping vodnik delile luštne deklice v Oktobrovih oblekicah. Ko jih srečate kje v Ljubljani jih le pocukajte za rokav... morda vas obdarijo še z Estee Lauder darilcem!

S Tjašo sva danes obiskali Izmenjavo oblačil v Okoljskem centru. Glede na to da imamo z Vintage Vikend timom že dlje časa v načrtu podoben dogodek naju je koncept takoj pritegnil. Pravila igre so bila precej preprosta - v izmenjavi si lahko sodeloval, če si prinesel pet kosov svoje garderobe, ki jih ne potrebuješ več (sicer obstaja še ogromno tipov 'swap partijev' - lahko so omejeni z guest listo, lahko sprejemajo samo določen cenovni/časovni razred oblek...) Obiskovalci so bili klepetavi in nasmejani, vzdušje prijetno...morda je manjkalo le ogledalo in kakšen welcome drink, ki bi naju dlje zadržal na dogodku. Glede na (dokaj nizka) pričakovanja sva bili nad današnjo Izmenjavo izredno prijetno presenečeni in domov odšli vsaka s svojim uspešnim 'ulovom'.

Prejšnji vikend sva z dragim sprehajala najino psičko in na poti v Tivoli sva pred eno izmed hiš na Medvedovi ulici zagledala tablo, ki je za napisom 'Iz moje omare v tvojo' takoj pritegnila mojo pozornost. Morda se nama je na začetku zdelo nekoliko čudno, da kar vstopava v privat hišo vendar sva ljub temu pogumno sledila napisu na vratih in vstopila. V prijetno stanovanje, ki je postalo začasna vintage+second hand trgovinica. V eno izmed tistih stanovanj, ki so polna barv, zanimivih predmetov, slik in risb in nakazujejo prijeten značaj stanovalcev. Lastnica, sicer umetnica in vsestranska kreativka naju je /za slovenske razmere/ neverjetno gostoljubno sprejela, nama razkazala ponudbo in naju celo postregla s kavico. Kosi, ki jih prodaja imajo časovni razpon vse od dvajsetih let do današnjih dni; na voljo so čevlji, torbice, dodatki in oblačila - za odrasle in tudi otroke. Trak za lase na zadnji sliki bom šla iskati jaz, vas pa vabim da se sprehodite mimo in najdete kakšen kos zase....

The only problem is that i'm apparently no good at wearing maxi skirts...the last time i wore one i tore it the first day and today -what a surprise- i tore this one too (evidence visible on the last photo). Arggh...now i have to shorten it to a much hated (but oh-so-fashionable) midi lenght :/

Ja, spet je prišel čas, ko naši dragi 'estradniki' dobijo tako rekoč edino priložnost v letu, da se udeležijo prave 'red carped' prideritve. Človek bi pričakoval, da se bodo priložnosti razveselili, sprejeli izziv in se enkrat temu primerno tudi uredili. Lani sem mislila da je bila predstava oblek borna...in hm...letos je bila izbira še slabša, ali pa je bilo manj gostov....i'm not sure.

Prav tako kol lani je Maja Ferme na prireditev pripeljala aktualno misico, ki jo je lastnoročno oblekla -v svojo dvojnico.

Tudi Nataša Pinoza je ponovila lansko vajo in prišla v kompletu s podobno oblečeno spremljevalko (Majo Štamol, za katero si lahko mislimo, da je avtorica obeh kreacij). Natašina obleka mi je sicer /spet/ blazno všeč.

Še ena podobnost z lanskim letom: preobilica rdečih toalet:

Nuša Lesar z (mamo?) je popolna primerjava rdeča 'ja!' in rdeča 'ne!' - črne hlače in rdeča srajca z naborki so morda primerni za služben sestanek ali srečanje vampirjev...nikakor pa ne za na rdečo preprogo, medtem ko je Nušina obleka v kombinaciji s svetlečimi sandali in črnimi nohti (za slovenske razmere) presenetljivo dobra izbira.

O Tanji Žagar ni vredno izgubljati besed. Edina pozitivna stran te obleke je roza vlečka - ta je barvno namreč tako ss11 da kar težko verjamem da spada k isti obleki kot 'instalacija' na ramenu. In ker Tanja pač nima okusa (in očitno tudi sitlista še vedno ne) se ji je zdelo smiselno zaključiti look z rdečo torbico, rdečimi svetlečimi uhani in (oh, presenečenje) rdečimi nohti. Iz vsega tega lahko sklepamo kakšne barve so čevlji (rdeči!?!?!).

ga. Vozelj verjetno ni imela časa, da bi se uredila in je pritekla iz službe kar v rdečem plaščku (kako oh soooo not glamorous) in čevljih s 'sensible' višino pete. Predvidevam da ji je mož povedal, da bo sam oblekel svetlečo obleko in ga kot vsaka dobra žena ni želela zasenčiti. Morda bi se tudi njena torbica (ali pa je to pločevinka za ribe?) bolj podala njegovemu kovinskemu 'tin man' izgledu.

Najboljše toalete:

Sabina Remar je izbrala čudovito črno asimetrično drapirano obleko, ki se poirgava s prosojnostjo...pa čeprav si takšna obleka za družbo zasluži lepši nakit. Danica Lovenjak me rahlo spominja na Rachel Zoe in mi je všeč da končno ne kaže oprsja. Na splošno se mi zadnje čase zelo dopadejo večerne obleke z rokavi...Nuša Lesar je oblekla simpatično in mladostno obleko (še boljše bi bilo, če nebi bila rdeča) in je ena izmed redkih razmišljala o celotnem stajlingu. Marija Pandrc v prosojni črni maxi toaleti mi je všeč ker sem obsedena z letošnjim trendom prosojnih maxi kril (pa čeprav ji prsi nekam čudno stojijo in ne morem spregledati da obleki nekaj manjka - morda statement ogrlica ali bolj zanimiva pričeska!?!). Iva Krajnc je izbrala sodobno obleko, modni dodatki pa premišljeni do potankosti (s tem ne mislim samo na čevlje in klobuček temveč tudi na ultra stajliš gospodiča Bagolo)

in še najslabše toalete(of kors, za ta segment je izbira veliiiiko večja,hihi):

(Bivši) plejbojevi zajčici Doroteja Premužič in Katarina Benček. Doroteja bi v drugi obleki verjetno zgledala dobro -s tem mislim da ima lepo pričeko, mejk up in čevlje. Nikakor pa ne vem, kaj je razmišljala ko je izbrala obleko, ki je slabo krojena, prekratka (!), čudaška in iz poceni materjala. Katarina pa se je odločila za pričesko, vredno povprečnega dekleta na klic v 90ih letih, zgled za mejk up (in barno kože) so ji bile neveste iz tv serije 'My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding', obleka je poceni in slabo narejena... uglavenem; Katarina je dobitnica limone za najslabše oblečeno gostjo Viktorjev. Ana Tavčar v črni toaleti se pred odhodom verjetno ni pogledala v ogledalo, sicer ne bi prišla na podelitev v obleki, v kateri izgleda kot da čez tančico proseva njeno celotno oprsje. Nuška Drašček je nedavno postala mamica in ji ne bom očitala da še ni izgubila 'baby teže'...lahko pa ji očitam napačno izbiro obleke. Ja, vsi vemo da je plise letos 'a must have' vendar moramo vedeti tudi da ne pristaja skoraj nikomur (razen trlicam). Škoda... pa tako simpatičen nasmeh ima. Nika Kljun si je za temo izbrala 'zlato na tisoč in en način' in oblekla zlato svetlečo obleko, jo nadgradila z zlato torbico (v drugačnem odtenku in teksturi), zlato ogrlico (tretji odtenek zlate), zlatimi čevlji, ker pa to ni bilo dovolj kričeče si je čez roko vrgla še mrtvega zajčka. Končni učinek je kičast in spominja na ruske eksotične spremljevalke. Oh, ko bi le obleka segala do tal in bi Nika pustila torbico, ogrlico in zajca doma...v trenutku bi bila na 'best dressed' seznamu. Alya pa si je verjetno milsila 'če lahko lady Gaga lahko tudi jaz' in poskusila izraziti svojo 'divjost'. No, končni izgled je bedast in nekonherenten. Obleka bi lahko s pravilnim stajlingom izpadla lepo vendar neeeeee, to bi bilo vendar dolgočasno...dopolnimo jo z vencem (rdečih!?!) gerber v laseh.

fijuuuu, sem se razpisala. Ker sem, da je želja /da prihodnje leto ne bo nikogar za v 'worst' kategorijo'/ nerealitična si želim da bi se povabljenci vsaj toliko potrudili da bi bili stajlingi premišljeni in zaključeni, da modne oblikovalke ne bi prišle na podelitev v kompletu s svojimi (isto oblečenimi) muzami...in bi bila edina rdeča stvar na prireditvi preproga . Držim pesti.............

V prejšnjem postu sem omenila, da imam skrivnost...in sedaj jo lahko razkrijem! V petek sem postala 'mamica' tejle mali kepici dlake, ji sliši na ime Miša. Je pravi party pes (v petek sva bili že na zabavi), manekenka (danes je imela naporen celodnevni fotošuting), v prostem času pa se rada pretvarja da je zajček (ko skaklja za svojimi igračkami). Nikoli v življenju še nisem imela živalce tako da je skrb za živo bitje koncept, ki se ga šele učim...po številu poljubčkov s katerimi sem nagrajena pa mislim da mi gre zaenkrat kar dobro :)

Danes sem imela namen biti zelo pridna...zgodaj vsati, celo iti na fax in potem takoj domov delat. No, prvega dela plana se mi je še uspelo držati, nato pa sem na poti s faksa nenamerno 'zašla' v Galerijo Emporium na predstavitev Supertrasha. Večino eventa sem seveda zamudila, Urši pa gre zahvala da sem dobila darilno škatlo. Oh, zakaj je vedno tako lepo prejeti darilo? Niti ni pomembno kaj je v škatli, gre le za pozornost in napetost ob dvigovanju pokrova. Sledila je še klepetava kavica s tortico in hitro kosilo...in sedaj sem tu, z nasmehom na obrazu. Danes pa imam v planu še en ogromn!! podvig ki naj zaenkrat še ostane skrivnost ;) ;) ;) ;)

Prejšnji teden smo imele intervju za Bleščico. Z Manjo, ki je btw zabavna in simpatična in lepa in oh in sploh super smo se dobile v Bikofeju in ob kavici malo poklepetale o modi in blogih. Očitno nas tudi prisotnost kamere ne spravi dovolj v zadrego, da bi skočile iz svoje običajne kože razigranih trap in tako v primerjavi z Evo (Dressful) delujemo precej neresno. Eh, takšne pač smo, življenje jemljemo z nasmehom na obrazu in tudi na modo poskušamo gledati z nekoliko humorja in distance.
Če oddaje niste uspeli ujeti v živo in imate par minut odvečnega časa si jo lahko ogledate tu (prispevek se začne nekako s šesto minuto), sicer vam je spodaj na voljo nekaj izsekov :)

V prejšnji Bleščici je bil objaveljen čudovit prispevek o Vintage Vikendu v Gvantu, ki si ga lahko ogledate tu (prvi prispevek). Oddaje je zastavljena tako, da najprej predstavijo koncept vintage oblek, nato sledi prispevek o takšni trgovini v Ameriki in na koncu predstavijo še naš dogodek. Ta potek se mi zdi smiseln, saj prikaže kako prisoten je vintage v svetu in s tem nekako potrdi da naše delo ni nesmiselno in čudno (kot se za enkrat še vedno zdi nekaterim Slovencem).

The latest of my obsessions is claw rings. They seem to appear everywhere this spring and i had to get one of my own. Since i can't really afford any of the designer ones i found a bargain one at asos...but little money does mean little fun and most of the gold coating has smudged off almost immediately. Oh well, at least the form remains intact :/

Since i kicked my addiction to BSB in 1996 i haven't really been the 'crazy fan' type. I managed to keep my cool and not harass famous people i got a chance to see/meet (yes, i walked straight by when Victoria Beckham was signing her book in Selfridges. ~~Ok, not completely true - i would have loved to stop and stare but the crowd was too huge so i only caught a glimpse~~). But when i ran into Valerija Kelava last summer i couldn't help myself - i had to get a photo....please don't mind my stupid starstruck face and just enjoy Valerija's fabulousity.

Yesterday i felt like i needed a pick me up so i went to Konzorcij and treated myself to Candace Bushnell's The Carrie Diaries. So far i'm not that impressed but i only got to page 28 so i'm keeping my hopes up for it to get better. Though i wonder...did Candace write this book cause she actually had more to say about Carrie or did she write it cause her new kitchen extension is not gonna pay for itself?
